I took over Merchants Cafe in March of 2011. I was horrified and embarrassed to see a business that holds so much of Seattle's history, run down, filthy and completely ignored by this city and many of it's previous owners. I made a vow to restore Merchant's Cafe to it's former glory. My strategy included doing the remodel as green as possible and using only local companies to help me with the work.
